BFW blogger challenge.

If you live in or around Bristol, you should know that Bristol Fashion Week starts this Wednesday. Ahead of this, myself and a few bloggers were invited up to Cribbs for a special preview event, and challenged to create an outfit based on one of the S/S trends that will be seen in the catwalk shows!

Firstly, a little bit about BFW..

The five fashion-filled days kick off with a VIP show, and then 3 or 4 shows every day after that, hosted by Mark Heyes and Lucy Watson from MiC (not even ashamed to say I'm pretty excited about that..) there's also a special Q&A event with leading fashion industry experts - so if you're interested in working in fashion, that is a must!

As always there'll be a pamper zone inside the mall, which is open to everyone. You can get tickets online here, or buy them from the information desk. They start at £8.95, which includes a cocktail, snacks and a goody bag, as well as the 45min catwalk show. Not too shabby!

Anyway, this challenge..

Myself and Amie were sent to Warehouse with a £100 giftcard in hand. We were shown around the store and given a lowdown on the new lines. After that, we grabbed anything we liked the look of and headed to the changing rooms to try everything on!

I surprised myself and ended up going for the 70s trend, something I never thought I'd be into!

Scroll down to see the final outfit!

So here's my final ensemble! What do you think? Does the 70s inspired look suit me?! I think I might be converted!

  4. I love all those summery patterns! I'm not brave enough to try that leather skirt myself but I can see lots of lovely yellow clothes that I will certainly be trying on if I find myself in Warehouse anytime soon!
