cold candy.

Although I didn't mention it in my 2015 post, one of my goals is to wear more colour & pattern over these cold months. It's easy peasy in the spring and summer, but I always find myself reaching for black and grey in the winter. Well, with the help of some sales bargains, I'm breaking out of that rut!

skateboard cafe holiday '14.

I don't share a whole bunch of menswear on here, but I do like to support local brands, especially if they have sweet designs in fun colours. These guys actually pop into my place of part-time work pretty regularly, although I don't think that tasty morsel in the last photo is one of ours..

chocolate dipped peanut cookies.

I actually baked these deliciously crisp, bite-size cookies a few months ago, but haven't had time in my blogging/life calendar to share them until now!

in check.

Hey! Look it's me, and I'm here with an outfit post, wahooooo! Sorry I've been so absent - you may have seen my Instagram post recently apologising, and explaining in a really vague way..

This dress was one of a few sales purchases I made. I'm trying to wear more colour and pattern through the winter months, and this was a sweet first step to ease me into that. Nothing too crazy, just something very slightly more interesting than my usual wardrobe of black and grey!

dartmoor.

2015 has got off to a bit of a slow start, but I think I always feel like this after the holidays - lethargic, reluctant, not really knowing where to start or how to get back into "real life"..

Since I got back to Bristol on the 2nd, apart from working I've been lying in bed shopping the online sales, so I'm sure I'll have some brand new outfits to show you all soon. But first I thought I'd blow the cobwebs out of my brain and show you these lovely photos from a recent trip to Dartmoor.

hello, 2015.

new year's day

As I get older, I feel like the changes that each year brings are more important. I feel like I lose myself a little, and then need a bit of time alone to remember who I am again. This time to reflect is so important to me, especially in such a busy age. I hope to take time out at the end of each month - even if it's just 15 minutes - to take stock of what's really going on, and to hone in on my goals.

I'm proud of all the things I overcame last year, but my hopes for 2015 are bigger and better. I want change. I have ambition. I'm determined to see more of this beautiful world, to be more independent, and to take constant, little steps towards the life I want to lead. I'm also not going to sit on my feelings or let them/people get the better of me! Keeping things bottled up never helps anybody.

More outwardly, I want to continue to try to make my special people smile. I want to keep promises to see people more often, send more letters and cards, and treat them to little things just because. Those people who make me feel better everyday without even realising it deserve a little more recognition and love.

Thank you to everyone who gave me special memories in 2014, and let's make some more.

Thanks also to all of you who read my ramblings and support what I do!

What do you hope for in 2015?
