the evolution of festival fashion.

For me, "festival fashion" is generally what I'd normally wear, with a bunch of glitter and maybe a fun hair accessory, as you can tell if you take a look at my previous posts about Bestival and Isle of Wight Festival. I have to admit that I'm a sucker for practical clothing at festivals, as long as it has a fun edge to it.

I've teamed up with New Look to show you how festival fashion has evolved over the years, and to give you my spin on some appropriate outfits.

lemon & raspberry drizzle cake.

Last week, I was invited over to my lovely friend Siân's house for dinner, and it was my job to provide dessert. I hadn't baked since my birthday, so I thought it'd be fun to make a cake using some fresh fruit from my local greengrocers.

The cake went down a treat with a little creme fraîche, and I had so much left over that I had to share it with my housemate & work friends - some of which have asked for the recipe! It was so yummy that I thought you guys deserved the recipe too!

Ahh Wednesday.. a week ago I was in a very sunny Devon, having lunch at the beach with my lovely mum. I couldn't think of a better place to enjoy some delicious food!

I've been pretty busy lately, and found it difficult to find the time or energy to blog. But I've got my mojo back, and have so much to share with you, starting with these beautiful cat eye glasses from Ozeal!

Sometimes you just need a day to yourself to play on the secret beach and hide in the cool, soft leaves; to be quiet and alone with your thoughts. To walk through the sweet-smelling air, and continue down, down, further down still, until you're back where you belong. Nothing but the almost-white-noise of the waves to soothe the harsh voice of reflection. Just me and the sea.

shore projects.

I'm super fussy about watches, and I feel like I'm always on the look out for the "perfect watch" (as well as the perfect brogues, breton, jeans and coat..) but I may stop looking for a while, as this one is exactly what I want at the moment - simple, classic and versatile. 

Well, May is over... I'm pretty sure I comment on how fast every month goes by, but this one has disappeared even faster than usual. And for that reason, I'm going to do things a little differently in June!
