barcelona: where we stayed.

I'm finally writing my Barcelona blog posts! Yay! It's so lovely looking back and remembering all the awesome stuff Charli and I got up to, but it's also making me want to go back even more! I miss the sunshine and the adventuring! There will be about 7 (!) posts in all, including bars, food and market recommendations!

There is SO MUCH good stuff happening in Bristol this weekend, it's actually a little ridiculous. The whole city seems to be making the most of the bank holiday, and along side Love Saves The Day and Upfest (a graffiti festival near my home!) we have the awesome Dot to Dot fest! So I suggest that if you live anywhere nearby, you should get your little butts over here!

diy: bring an old tray back to life.

This is my favourite tray ever - you've probably seen it pop up in various blog posts and instagram pictures. I got it for about 20p at a recycling centre a few years ago, as I was attracted to the old map print. Since then it's faded quite a lot and had a lot of spillages, so I thought it was about time I recovered it..

We're not even half way through my favourite month yet, and it has been as juicy and colourful as the strawberry above. We've been blessed with a lot of sunshine here in Bristol, and all the flowers have really come to life! I may be in gorgeous Barcelona right at this moment, but it's lovely to take a minute to see how beautiful our country can be.

Today is the day I fly off to beautiful Barcelona for just under a week! It's my 25th birthday on Wednesday and I wanted to do something different/pretend it wasn't happening, so I'm off to the city that has everything I'd want out of a holiday - beaches, culture, FOOD...

I have some blog posts scheduled for while I'm away, and I might try to blog while I'm there (we'll see if I have time for that..!) but for now: seeya later England!

This gorgeous quilted iPad case from Joules came at just the right time, as I'm heading off to Barcelona tomorrow and needed a little extra protection for my favourite gadget!

MEOW! I feel like this outfit is very "me" - cats and polka dots everywhere. This awesome clutch bag is actually a tablet case from Primark, but I thought it would add a cute little something to outfits! Plus I can pretend it's my face..

This is the last of the outfit posts from my mum's house. I love the way this dusty peach polo top looks with my vintage yellow shorts! Yellow is another one of my favourite colours to wear in the summer, it's just so happy! I need more yellow in my wardrobe immediately.

Ummm... hello one of the most beautiful summer dresses EVER created! This is yet another thing that I stole off my mother while I was in Devon last week. Just look at it for goodness sake. The greens and blues with those pops of pink are just stunning.

Shockingly, I have a trial shift at LUSH this afternoon! After getting through the application form and group interview (despite thinking that I definitely wouldn't!) I'm on to the next step towards being a working girl once more! It is just a teeny little part time job, but I haven't been able to work for almost 5 years, so it's a huge deal to me!

true blue.

I love wearing colour - especially in the summer months - but this dusty, denim blue has to be my favourite. It reminds me of blue skies, and happens to be a very similar colour to my eyes. I'm a poet and I bloody well know it.

This is another summery outfit from when I was back in Devon. There's such a nice little area outside the back door for outfit photos - great light and totally private!
