set me up.

I recently splurged on some Vichy Dermablend setting powder. I use their corrective foundation, but I find that after a few hours it's somehow disappeared from my face. I have quite oily skin, and the powder I was previously using (17 Shine Control Pressed Powder) was doing nothing to help!

After you've applied your foundation and/or concealer, you use the little pad supplied to pat it onto your face, wait two minutes and brush any excess off with a nice soft brush (not included), then you can apply any blusher/bronzer etc. The powder is white, and when on your skin just blends in and you can barely notice it.

This has really made a difference to my make up, and I think I'm going to use a lot less foundation as I don't have to re-apply halfway through the day. On my skin, it doesn't last the 16 hours that it claims, but it probably lasts about 8 hours which is great. I do need an occasional light powder touch up on my T zone though, but it's nothing like the face shine I used to suffer from!

This gets a massssssive thumbs up from me! Now, get ready for a big photo of my face...!

good morning.

• YUMMY! •

I'm not very good at consistantly having breakfast, so to help myself out, I made some granola! It's really easy peasy, and so yum! And you can have it with whatever fruits, seeds and/or nuts you fancy!

200g oats
60g seeds/nuts (I used bashed up walnuts)
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
100g honey
60g dried fruit (I used chopped up dried apricots)

• Preheat oven to 150ºc.
• Mix the oats and seeds/nuts in a bowl.
• Put the oil in a cup or small bowl, mix in the vanilla and honey.
• Add this to the dry ingredients, and mix well.
• Spread over a non stick baking tray and bake for 15 minutes.
• Mix in the dried fruit and return to oven for 10 minutes.
• Leave to cool before putting in a storage jar.

Perfect with yoghurt and fresh fruit! I particularly like it with grated apple. Happy breakfasting!

bristol fashion week.

Well... this is what I WAS going be wearing today to the Bristol Fashion Week Live Blogging Event, but first I had a change of heart when I saw the weather forecast of sun and warmth, and then I was up all night coughing so I don't really feel well enough to go. Oh well :( here's an outfit!

It'll be a fun event today, and would've been good to catch up with other bloggers! I haven't seen anyone since before Christmas so I'm gutted I'm missing out.

You can keep up with what's going on by searching for #bristolfashionweek or #bfw, or by following @mallcribbs on Twitter, and there should be a live video feed here! I'll have to enjoy the event from my laptop!

Here are some outfit detail photos...

PS. Don't forget about my blog sale! :)

Thursday 22 March 2012

little home.

Super talented Rob Hodgson has got 25% off everything in his Etsy shop at the moment, as he's galaventing off to France with his pretty lady (who is also having a sale over at her lovely little Etsy) very soon.

I suggest you take advantage of this offer, as his prints are wonderful. I'm so glad I did :) I just need to find a little frame and a new home for it on one of my many walls... looks like I will be finally meeting the man himself, too!

I seem to be hiding my face behind things a lot lately...

Hello! As the photo above suggests, I am now open to having your cute little adverts on my blog! They won't really be there on that piece of paper though, that's a lie. They'll be over there ->

I'll be offering three different packages (small ad, large ad, and a blog post feature or giveaway) Advertising begins on the 1st of each month, starting in April, and payment is required at least one day beforehand.

More info and statistics and stuff can be found here!

If you feel your blog or company would benefit from advertising on Being Little, please email me at for rates and negotiation. If you wish to purchase advertising space for more than one month, I'd be happy to cut a deal with you!

Please remember, I am only happy to advertise your blog or company if I think it fits in with the feel of my blog.

keep me in check.

Pretty sure this skirt sneaks its way into most of my outfit posts during the autumn and winter.. I just can't help it, it's such a good skirt!

I bought this shirt from Uniqlo last week, thinking it would be a good piece to take me into Spring/Summer. It's a really lovely lightweight cotton, and I can see myself wearing it with my yellow shorts when warmer weather graces us!

I used a piece of ribbon to tie the whole outfit together, and secured it with a cat badge that I think my brother gave to me ages ago!

Should be off up to Cheltenham this afternoon to stay with Elliott for a few days, but I'm feeling so poorly I might leave it until tomorrow.. I'll be heading down to Bristol on Friday for the Bristol Fashion Week Live Blogging Event too! Can't wait :)
