Last weekend, Doug and I went up to Cheltenham for a Halloween party (and a cheeky little tattoo) and I thought today was the most appropriate day to share a few photos with you all! You probably shouldn't read on if you're scared of clowns, dead people, rednecks or Hulk Hogan...

Oh October, you've been so lovely! Playing in the autumn leaves & luring our neighbourcat into our house • beautiful sunsets & the last no tights day of the year • an amazing trip to Edinburgh with my love • a little photoshoot at one of my favourite Bristol places • watching all the changes that happen during this year - spotting mushrooms all over • spending time with my favourite felines at my mum's house • baking a cake for my Granny's 90th birthday & seeing all of my lovely family • his 'n' hers outfits & visiting some more of my favourite Bristol places • and finally, partying in Cheltenham & getting a tattoo with my best bud, to symbolise another great man. More on that when it's healed...

I was contacted recently about sharing with you some of my favourite places in Bristol, as part of the Hertz Big Travel List. I love my city, and I have so many favourite spots that it was really difficult to narrow it down, but here are a few places I think you should definitely visit.

Dartington Hall is one of my favourite places ever, especially during autumn when all the leaves are vivid colours, there are nuts & berries everywhere, and mushrooms start popping up. Doug and I visited the gardens with my mum for a quick walk when we got down to Devon last Thursday.

Our trip to Edinburgh got me thinking - going on a little adventure in the UK during the autumn months can be a packing nightmare. I mean, the weather is pretty unpredictable all year round, but you've got to deal with the changing temperatures, as well as the usual wind and rain..

As you might've seen on my Twitter, Facebook or Instagram feed, Doug and I travelled up to bonnie Scotland last Monday for a few days of Edinburgh loveliness. I'm a total southern girl and had never been further north than the Midlands (and that was only once, for Download Festival about 8 years ago..) but I absolutely fell in love with the place, and I'm sure you'll see why!

I decided the most appropriate place to show off my new t-shirt from Distant Clothing would be the place I can see on the horizon from my bedroom window. I walked among the trees and the deer, and breathed in the cool, dusky air.

When I started recovering from the dreaded lurgy, Doug and I decided we needed to get out of the house. We walked along the river & had lunch at Grain Barge, and then played in the crispy autumn leaves.

A couple of weekends ago, Doug and I spotted a sign for a "giant vintage and flea market" and decided to pop along on the sunny Sunday afternoon.
