how to wear colour on a rainy day.

I'm guilty of it, and so is much of the world, it seems... on a rainy, grey day, everyone is dressed in their dark coloured coats and boots. Well, you know what guys. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF IT. 

This autumn and winter, I'm doing my best to live a more colourful life. This includes not letting myself get stuck in the rut of wearing black and dark colours all throughout the cold months.

I thought I'd share some holiday snaps with you while it's all still fresh in my mind, I'm feeling fresh, and not too sad about leaving it all behind. This was mine & Nick's first holiday together, and it was full of sun, swimming, and sangria!

I don't talk about music enough on my little corner of internet, which is silly because I LOVE music. It's a very important part of my life. And I'm lucky enough to know a lot of wonderfully talented people, like these chaps - Tourists.

You know when you're reading blogs - do you ever want to picture the blogger writing it? Where they're sitting, what they're wearing.. not in a creepy way, mind. Admittedly, I do often write from bed, but on this sunny Sunday I was working from my desk. 

the mall chocolate challenge!

Yep, you read that right - chocolate challenge - and yep, that IS a sausage roll. But hear me out! 

Hotel Chocolat at Mall Cribbs challenged me and a few other bloggers to create a recipe using some of their products. What I didn't expect was that the products they chose for me were cocoa pesto and cocoa ketchup!!

My skin can be really rather annoying. It's dry in places, and yet gets really oily if I'm not careful. It's sensitive, and can get all red and blotchy if I use the wrong products. However, at the ripe old age of 27, I seem to have stopped getting spots, so at least there's that..

into autumn wishlist.

It seems my dream colour palette for autumn is quite muted and soft. I'm trying to stay away from wearing black all through autumn and winter, so these are the sort of things that you'll (hopefully!) see me wrapping up in! I'm actually quite tempted to print this out and put it on my wall, to remind myself that I should wear more colour in the colder months!

Mmmmm... look at them. I could eat them for breakfast. 

I've missed a couple of weeks of sharing baking recipes with you - sorry! Life gets hectic sometimes, and last week I was away in Newquay and Dartmouth, which was lovely! I hope this perfect cheese scone recipe makes up for it. 

What's extra great about these, is that you can put different herbs & spices and things in the mix, and on top! Who doesn't love a totally customisable foodstuff?
