This dinner is so darn delicious and easy that I cooked it twice last week - once for my lunch (pictured in this here blog post) and again for my chef boyf who said it was "lush". High praise indeed, so you should probably give this one a go!
I've been to Weston-super-Mare a few times in my life - once with a boyfriend when I was 20, living in Bristol, and slowly dropping out of uni. We went on Valentines Day and it was actually pretty sweet, despite how cold and grey it was. I also went last year with one of my BFFs and her sister, in the hopes of seeing Backstreet Boys, however they pulled out of their gig on the beach. I was NOT impressed, and I still haven't forgiven them.
Here are two facts that you should probably know about me by now: 1) if something is visually pleasing, I'll probably like it. 2) I eat chocolate pretty much every day. I need that delicious stuff. So, naturally, when I saw Doisy & Dam chocolate, I knew it needed to be in my possession ASAP!
Pretty sure I mentioned this in my last outfit post, but I have been LOVING the mid-season sales. There have been so many awesome pieces that have caught my eye, and this dress was one of them. It has perfectly retro vibes, especially when teamed with some chunky shoes and a timeless bag.
Why have I never been before?! Grillstock is a combination of BBQ food, music, drinking and fun. This year I couldn't go on the Saturday because I had to work, but I went all day Sunday to soak up the slightly more subdued - and drizzly - atmosphere.
We headed down to the amphitheatre and entered into a new world... a world we suddenly felt we belonged. We'd finally made it home. Even the frequent drizzle-showers couldn't dampen our enthusiasm.
You've probably noticed around here that we've gone a little bit BBQ crazy lately, so this just added fuel to the fire.
Last Friday (during the rail strike, ugh) I made my way up to London to attend my friend's small, laid-back wedding. I thought I would share with you the gift I created for him and his beautiful wife, and a few snaps from the day.
Since the heatwave, the weather has got pretty unpredictable (in Bristol at least) so bare legs haven't been too appealing. This has been one of my go-to outfits over the past couple of weeks.
Greece has been in the news a lot lately, but something that isn't mentioned is their scrummy food (for obvious reasons - I guess it's not everyone's top story right now) I'd never really thought of cooking Grecian food until Expedia asked me to be part of their World on a Plate challenge..
Some Sundays, you just want to throw on an easy outfit and get on with your easy day. This is the epitome of said easy Sunday outfit, made marginally fancier with a slick of red lipstick and this nose ring, which I apparently can't get enough of.
June was lovely, just lovely. Filled with sweet, summery times.. I think you'll see that there was quite a strong BBQ theme running through this month, amongst the other awesome things!
Make sure you tell me how your June was in the comments!
