sunrise, moonrise, your eyes.

If you follow me on Twitter or are my buddy on Facebook, you'll know that on Wednesday morning I had some extremely exciting news... my Doug booked flights home, back to little old me, and he'll be home this afternoon! 

I can't quite believe it, how can I be so lucky? I don't know what to do with myself, and I don't know how I'm going to react when I see him step off the train, but I'm preeeeetty sure there'll be a smile or two! 

We're spending the weekend at mine in Bristol, before heading down to Devon for a couple of weeks, before he has to head back to reality. 

I probably won't be online very much, but I have a few blog posts scheduled over the next week or so. Now, excuse me while I climb into my lover's arms and never let him go ever again!

I think I'm going to call this look "pirate-vintage-boho-chic"... I've not really felt myself lately - I've been feeling in limbo, and hating the way I look - but when I threw this outfit together, that was it, I found myself a little. It's funny how making a little effort with the way you look can make you feel a teeny bit better about everything.

It's been a while since I've baked, and even longer since I baked something new! Yesterday was my super good friend Charli's birthday, so I baked some cakes. She's a pretty big fan of both coffee and whisky, so I thought these would be pretty perfect for her! I think she liked them :)

vintage & antique shopping in ashburton.

I haven't been for a year or two, but Ashburton is one of my favourite places to browse antiques and vintage clothing in Devon. There are quite a few gorgeous antique shops, and a handful of great charity shops too. So, really, it's my ideal shopping destination. If only I had money to spare.

We spent a few hours on Monday rummaging around for dusty treasures, dreaming about things we'd love to have in our home (mum and I fell in love with a deep mustard yellow sofa that was SO comfy!) as well as finding some bizarre thingamajigs.

percy pig turns 21!

Who'd have thought Percy Pig was 21?! He certainly doesn't look (or taste?) his age! These delicious sweeties sure didn't last long after they arrived on my doorstep. They are SO moreish, and it was hard to share them!

I realised recently, that this is my first summer living in Bristol. When I lived here before, I was at uni, so I'd go home for the summer. If you're not familiar with my lovely city, then you won't know how many amazing things go on in the summer, from open air theatre to fun festivals.
