The only time I've spent in Swindon has been limited to the train station, so when I was invited along to the Designer Outlet to have a look around and find my perfect Christmas party outfit, I thought I'd give it a chance and see what the old train warehouse had to offer me.
It turned out, quite a lot! I spent a few hours wandering around in circles, popping in and out of the 90+ shops and trying on sparkly things. This time of year is usually about spending your pocket money on your nearest & dearest, so it was lovely of McArthurGlen to give me an extremely generous £250 gift card to find this illusive "perfect Christmas party outfit".
French Connection was the obvious place to start - and they had so many sequinned things for me to try! The shop assistant was really helpful, putting the heavy garments in the changing room for me as I continued my hunt around the store! Unfortunately, none of those beautiful dresses were quite right, so I went on with my search..
There were loads of new developments going on around the outlet - new shops are appearing all the time, and there will soon be a new area for thing like fashion shows!
I finally found *the dress* in Ted Baker, and after a quick noodle-stop in Wagamama I discovered a few perfect accessories...
Scroll down to see my outfit!
And here's the finished outfit below! What do you think?
When I first saw this dress in Ted Baker I really liked it, but I thought I was too short to get away with a midi dress, but I think it works on me - especially with these killer heels! It's perfectly understated, with just the right amount of sparkle. Messy hair, black nails and a studded belt give it a less polished look, which makes it much more me.

• Ted Baker dress *
• Primark belt
• Fossil bag *
• Kurt Geiger heels *
As soon as I find out if there's a bus that goes from the train station to the outlet, I'll be back for seconds!

you're so pretty, i love that long dress.
ReplyDeleteI love swindon outlet centre, I have gotten super cheap converse from footlocker, the best fitting jeans I have owned from gap, and all sorts of other fun things! You can walk from the train station there is a sneaky back way if you walk right out the train station and through a tunnel its about a 15 min walk which isn't too bad :)

Oh really! Which way do you go? I'm not too familiar with Swindon. 15 min walk would be do-able! (depending on how many bags I come back with!) x
DeleteThat's a beautiful dress :) I love the holiday season!
