It's official - I feel festive and SUPER excited for Christmas after a little adventure up to Clearwell Caves with Doug & his family at the weekend!
When we arrived, we weren't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was worth every bit of the £9 entry. We walked through the caves, following the narration of a story - The Perfect Christmas Tree - and trying to find presents with our names on!
I didn't want to share too many photos and ruin the magic for any of you who are planning on going, but just look at the amazing sets! Lots of animals and people and things made beautifully out of felt and fabrics. Just wonderful.
The kids loved it - almost as much as we did - and they got to sit with Father Christmas and choose a present from his toy stall (which was included in the entry price).
If you're looking for a Christmassy day out and you're not too far from the Forest of Dean, this is definitely the one. I can't wait for next year!

ReplyDeleteThis looks so magical Lyzi! THANK you for finally bringing some festivity to my life - spending my first Christmas away from England and it's pretty tuff to feel in the Christmassy mood when you're in like 28 degree heat. Ain't nobody got time for that. All my love little lady <3
