This post has been a long time coming... whoops! But finally, I'm getting around to showing you my shiny new glasses.
I don't think I've ever actually been to an optician, and every time you've seen me wearing specs on here, they've actually just been prescription-less lenses. So when Vision Express invited me down to get my eyes tested & to check out their new collaboration with Joules, I was weirdly excited to see how well my eyes were holding up.

I was greeted at the door with champagne and smiles (my favourite way to be greeted, fyi) and shown through to the back where they shone a very very bright light into my eye to check that they were ok inside. I loved looking at the images they took - who knew the inside of your eye was so pretty?! All red with the big optical nerve. No problems there!
I then had to go and do the thing where you read all the letters as they get smaller and smaller, and put on these insane-looking glasses with different lenses slotted inside. After a while of doing that, and lots of questions, it turned out my eyes were actually better than good, so I didn't need a prescription.
However, I do find that after a day of blogging, my eyes are sore and tired. So, they suggested that I try some glasses with slightly blue tinted lenses which are supposed to filter out the blue light of computer screens - you can see the blue tint in the bottom photo - yay!
I headed back downstairs and chose my pair from the lovely Joules range, and they said to come back in a few weeks to pick them up. When I did, they made sure they fit properly, altered the arms slightly, and then off I went with my new eyes!

I couldn't love these glasses more! The entire range have sweet details - like the trademark Joules floral print - and mine have a gorgeous green bit inside. The shape and size is just perfect, and they fit me so well that I wear them even when I'm not working on my laptop!

It's crazy how different frames can make your face look! I tried on some that made me look like an actual granny haha!
DeleteThey look great! I have been wearing glasses since I was 3 or 4 and it's nice to see that they are somewhat trendy now so I don't feel like wearing my contact lenses all the time anymore!
