Last Sunday, Ella and I headed over to the Barbican area of London - somewhere neither of us had ever really explored - and waited for our bloggy friends Jazmine, Olivia and Kristabel.
We were going to head to Modern Pantry for lunch, but after getting a rather frosty reception from an unhelpful waitress and waiting in a weird dingy corridor for a few minutes, we decided to cross the road to the much friendlier looking Workshop. Plus, the signs were super cute - that diamond!
And I'm SO glad we did.
There was a bit of a wait for a table, but once we got upstairs it was lovely. Cute little coloured teapots, lots of chatting, and ridiculously yummy food. You can see my corn fritters, poached eggs & halloumi below!
You can also take a peek at what I wore, and what Ella and I got up to the day before!
How amazing are Kristabel's shoes?! (below)

Would love to explore the non touristy side of London. I always end up in the same places, this place looks like a good start.

I recognise that pub on the corner! There's a really good little gallery just round the other corner, we saw a really weird exhibition there once.
ReplyDeleteThat food looks AMAZING, as does that awesome sign, I'm a sucker for anything neon.
Damnit I want a day in London! haha
