questions.

Yesterday, Gem tagged me in her blog post to do this questionny thing. So that is exactly what I'm going to do.

1. What is your dream job?

I'm planning on living out this dream... I want to start out as a freelance maker and drawer of all kinds - I HATE limiting myself to one thing, I just can't do it. I get distracted easily and like to have my fingers in many pies. Physically and metaphorically. I like immersing myself in art of all kinds. When I've built up a little money and reputation for being a super awesome maker and drawer of all kinds, I'd love to set up a little shop. It'll be full of lovely things, vintage and handmade, and it'll have a little place with tables and chairs and cakes. I know a lot of people who have a similar dream of this little shop, but I really am going to do it. It'll be a sister shop to the Total Jerks, but that's a story for another time.

2. What is your favourite fragrance for winter?

Strangely, I don't own perfume. I never have. It's not because I don't like it - I LOVE it and once considered a career as a perfumier - it's just that I find it really hard to just choose ONE scent, and I certainly can't afford to buy them all. Instead I have an array of body sprays etc, and I just use whatever I feel like on the day!

3. How do you take your tea/coffee?

I don't drink coffee. Preferably, I drink my tea from my big blue polka dot mug that I'm convinced is bigger than my head. I often drink decaff, as caffeine can make me feel weird. I can't choose a favourite tea - either Twinings Earl Grey, or Clipper Everyday (I love the packaging...and it's fair trade and yummy) and I like it brewed for a good couple of minutes, quite milky, one sugar. By the way, just a little heads up - Earl Grey tea is AMAZING with chocolate cookies!

4. What is your most important beauty secret?

I don't really know much about beauty.. I just do what I do. I have no secrets. Maybe just, less is more?

5. If you had an all expenses paid vacation anywhere, where would you go?

"Well obviously if it was all expenses paid, I'd get an around the world ticket, anyone would surely?" - Gem has a very good point.
Where would I start.. I'd probably start in a place I've been before - St Lucia in the Caribbean, because my uncle lives there and I haven't seen him for nearly 11 years now. Then I might hop onto a couple of other Caribbean islands, probably the smaller less tourist-y ones. Then I'd spend a bit of time in South America, go up through Mexico and then road trip around the USA! I've always wanted to do that. I'd go up to Canada and see my friend Will. Then I'd head West and stop at Japan, China, Thailand, Indonesia, then down to Australia! I'd go across to New Zealand and surprise Jack, and Yogi because it would be silly to go there and not say hello. I'd love to spend a bit of time in India, and maybe a few places in Africa - but I'm not sure where. I'd go to Morocco, and then travel up through Spain and France and finally I'd be home again :) Oh if only..

6. If a genie popped in your lap right now and offered you three wishes what would they be?

My first is the same as Gem's - a cure for cancer. I've seen too many lovely people suffer. Secondly, I'd love to have a cute old shop somewhere where I'd do well, with a good-sized flat above it for me to live in. Thirdly, for love to work out for me.

7. If you could only have breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert foods for the rest of your life, which one would you pick?

Whaaaat! Probably lunch, you can have whatever you want for any of those meals though so I don't see how this would work :/ I generally prefer savoury food, despite all this cake business.

8. If you had the chance to pick a famous person for your other half to meet, who would you choose for them?

I dont have an other half :(

9. What is your biggest make-up pet peeve?

Too much of it, badly applied. When people clearly are wearing a foundation that doesn't match their skin tone. Bronzer or blusher applied in a stripe. Mis-matching lip liner and lipstick. White/light coloured eyeshadow BLEURGH.

10. If you could wear only one piece of jewellery for the rest of your life what would it be?

I don't wear much jewellery at all, so it would have to be something special. I'm hoping I'm going to inherit my mum's engagement ring, so maybe that.

11. What one talent do you wish you had?

I wish I could play the piano too! And I'd love to get singing lessons.. I can sing a bit but I'd like to learn how to be brilliant.

12. The product you will continue to purchase?

Simple everything. I have really sensitive skin and it can get irritated easily (if you follow me on Twitter you may know about my new hatred of Superdrug) Simple is the only thing I trust at the moment!

13. If you could look in to the future would you? What would you want to know?

No, what will be will be.

14. Who is your biggest celebrity crush (include pictures)?

I just can't help it. Apparently I'm attracted to weedy, awkward, funny geeks? Watch Clark and Michael though, it's funnies.

15. What made you start a blog?
I've had a blog on and off since I was maaaaybeeeeee 14 or 15. Then it was for angsty outbursts. The blog I had previous to this was mainly for my art. Now it's just for everything I do/am interested in. I want to record what I've been upto for myself, and share arty things with other people.

I tag Bee, Karys, Kim, Phoebe and Em.

I just want to leave you with this image from notebook doodles.

  1. Love your answers, I've always, always wanted to set up a garden centre, with a tea shop in, maybe you could set up your crafty gift/tea shop in there? That would be amazing!!! xxx
