The other day, Nick and I met up and couldn't decide what to do. It was a beautiful day, and just when we'd decided to walk into town for a mooch, I changed my mind and wanted to head back for a BBQ. We stopped off to buy supplies from the green grocers and butcher, and then did a little al fresco cooking!
Nick has a nice big table in his garden, which meant we could enjoy the weather and prepare our food at the same time! I made my jerk chicken, we smoked a delicious beef brisket, cooked chorizo sausages, and had salads and breads!
A few Coronas later, my lovely friend Sian came to join us and we ate until the sun disappeared.
Cheers to summer finally arriving!

i love summer bbqs! it all looks so delicious! grilling is my favorite way to cook. if it wasnt so hot where i live i would do it errrday.
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious! Even though I don't really eat meat, I love a good BBQ. I used to love walking through the Somerfield/CoOp on Gloucester Road on a hot day (to get to St Andrews Park) and see that the disposable BBQs, beers and ice creams had been utterly raided, as if half the city had united to make summer happen :) x
ReplyDeleteSounds dreamy! xx
