shore projects.

I'm super fussy about watches, and I feel like I'm always on the look out for the "perfect watch" (as well as the perfect brogues, breton, jeans and coat..) but I may stop looking for a while, as this one is exactly what I want at the moment - simple, classic and versatile.

It was pretty convenient that the watch arrived just in time for my little trip down to Devon at the end of May, and the beaches at Start Bay made the best backdrop for these photos - if you're going to review a watch by a company called Shore Projects, it just makes sense to do it down by the water's edge!

The watches are inspired by the beauty and fun of the British seaside, which is my favourite part of their story, having grown up on the beach. They're also waterproofed to 100m, which means I don't have to worry about taking it off and putting it somewhere safe & dry when I'm frolicking about by the sea!

The watches come in a choice of a brushed silver or gold rim with a charcoal or white face, and then there are loads of different coloured straps to choose from! You can even buy a few and change them to go with whatever you're wearing. This mint one is so great for summer, and I'm thinking of adding a darker one when winter rolls around.

What's your idea of the perfect watch?

  3. Ooh, that's a nice watch. Love the colour and the simplicity. I like quite thin watches with traditional leather strap and simple, small clock face.

  6. I love a big watch face - mine is actually supposed to be a man's watch and needed about half the links taking out before it fitted my wrist!
