Hello! Sorry I've been so absent from the online world lately - Doug came to visit, then I got flu, then my girls came to stay, so I've been up to my eyeballs.
Yesterday, whilest paralysed by anxiety (I start volunteering this week, a little late due to the flu, and I'm really really nervous about it) I decided to do something productive and alter a couple of shirts I got while in Paris last summer.
I was attracted to this one's collar - or lack-of - and the extra foldy bits, however it had long sleeves that did absolutely nothing for me. I lopped them off, hemmed the edges and voila! A very versatile new shirt! I'm going to wear it to the office today with this massive jumper over the top, because it's bloomin' freezing again. Great.
• VINTAGE PARISIAN SHIRT • VINTAGE JUMPER • PRIMARK BELT & TIGHTS • TOPSHOP SKATER SKIRT • CLARKS ORIGINALS DESERT BOOTS •
Altering shirts is such a simple thing to do makes such a difference! Looks great! x

Great altering, it suits you so well. I must say your boots are lovely too.
ReplyDeleteWhere is it you volunteer? I volunteered last June at a charity shop and I was nervous then, but I'm naturally a nervous person and all things were running through my head. Through that I managed to get a paid job for a while so I always think the nerves will get better :) I still haven't caught a train purely by myself due to nerves, that's a goal for the year ha.
You look gorgeous, your hair looks really lovely and that shirt is super cute. Paris is great for finds like that. I hope you're feeling better it sucks how much anxiety can affect you. I'm sure your volunteering will go just fine and you'll love it. It's such a worthwhile thing

I do this to almost all my shirts (usually because they are stolen from my boyfriend's wardrobe and are massive).
