what's in my bag?

I thought about doing this tomorrow, but I'm doing it now because I'm procrastinating before I go on a charity shop hunt and flat viewing.

I always like looking at other people's "what's in my bag" posts, so I thought I'd do one too, after talking to Karys about it. She's done one herself, here.

I have two different bags I usually use at the moment. One is a big satchel when I feel like carrying my whole life with me, the other is a much smaller satchel-style bag. Sometimes I just use a tote. I need a new tote. Mine is from Oxfam and I love it but it's really gross and tatty now.

In my big satchel (from a recycling centre, years and years ago) I like to carry everything I might need. I usually have an umbrella as well but I don't know where that is... you never know when it might rain!

I've got: the book I'm currently reading, water, a few bits of make-up and a make-up bag (from Primark), loads of hair grips, lip balm, disposable camera, digital camera, Paperchase notebook & Stabilo pen, phone, UO purse, sunglasses & case (from Motel), chewing gum, lollipop, large-ish mirror, ipod, hello kitty hairbrush, perfume.

This does seem like a lot of stuff, but I'm a girl, and sometimes we just need all this stuff. It doesn't include the receipts and rubbish, why would you want to see that?

This is what I carry when I don't want to lug my life around. This bag was from a charity shop recently for £2. Since I got it I've seen another one for £4.50 and one on a vintage stall for like £18!!! Ridiculous. Same stuff as before, but cut down to what I really need.

I've got: some make-up (17 Shine Control Pressed Power, QVS foundation brush, L'Oréal Touche Magique Concealer, Elizabeth Arden gel eyeliner & brush, 17 Lasting Fix Lipstick in Dreamy - I don't wear lipstick much but this is a really cute pink colour), lollipop, chewing gum, perfume (M&S Autograph Blush), ipod, hairgrips, lip balm, digital camera, phone, purse.

Well, that was terribly interesting wasn't it. You may notice I don't carry keys. I never carry keys. Just the way I roll.

What's in YOUR bag?

  1. eee lovely :) I bought a great skirt from a charity shop the other day, later I looked up the brand on the web to find out their skirts normally retail for £50ish so I was pleased to get it for £4! I may have to blog it! I love charity shopping, oh and hope the flat viewing goes well! :)

  2. Ooo I like these sort of posts, I empty by bag everyday as I'm always changing my bag or what's in it, so no point me doing one lol. I love your paint table, reminds of good days and drawing at college. xx

  3. The smaller bag is so lovely and I tend to be a ‘carry the world in my bag’ kind too, us girls tend to have the need to do this like you said. Though if I sit down and empty it all out it tends to be full of junk and far too many necessities! x

  20. that's actually a terribly smart idea - two bags! i always switch between a brown and black one and it's so annoying. i think i'm going to have to do this.
