Cheers to 2016!
I'm welcoming in this year, along with forgotten feelings.
I prefer to make little changes throughout the year to better my life, but there is something poignant about a new year. A fresh start. We all must remember alongside our resolutions, that it is hard to change things overnight. Don't put the pressure on yourself to wake up today as a better person, but set yourself small tasks that work towards your bigger goals. Don't give up when you have a setback.
When I look at 2015, it kind of feels like a non-year for me. I didn't really like re-living it through my round up blog post. It doesn't feel like I achieved very much. But I feel so much stronger and happier now, that I must have achieved something. I jumped some more hurdles, I worked on myself, I plodded along. And now I'm ready for a bit more!
I am going to take more chances. I'm going to be more adventurous. I'm going to be more independent.
I'm going to continue to be gentle, but strong.
I'm going to continue to be gentle, but strong.
I'm going to try harder to look after myself, because I AM important - physically, mentally, financially. I want to think carefully about the things I buy. Where they came from. What they'll be used for.
I want to continue to look out for the people who are important to me too. Because, what is life if they're not okay?
I want to cut out the crap. I don't want to take any shit. I can't have negative people, experiences, food, stuff. I want to waste less time.
I want to feel more present in the moments.
I want to feel more present in the moments.
As far as actual tangible goals go, I want to travel outside of Europe, as I haven't for 10 years. And, I'd like to continue to improve my little old blog, set some numerical goals and smash through them.
In the words of Shia LaBeouf - JUST, DO IT.
Happy New Year to you all! I hope it is a positive one.
