john frieda frizz ease.

This review has been a long time coming... and it's probably taken me so long to finally get it live because I was feeling a little reluctant to show you the photo of my ridiculous hair below! But anyway, here we go...

I was kindly sent the John Frieda products above a couple of months ago, and gave them a fair chance to work their "magic".. However my hair ended up the even-frizzier-than-normal mess you see below. I personally have never found Frizz Ease to work on my hair, whereas other products such as Moroccan Oil and even other John Frieda ranges have tamed my hair, which I find truly odd.

The Luxurious Volume dry shampoo was average as well. Although my hair is pretty thick, I do like to add a little more volume with some dry shampoo and backcombing, but this didn't really add any extra volume compared to Batiste dry shampoos. Overall, a pretty disappointing show from John Frieda!

Have you tried these products? What did you think?

  1. this is insane! that a terrible shampoo.. i've been lucky enough to see your pretty hair multiple times in person and it's always been so soft and shiny looking how on earth did it make your hair frizzy!

  2. That's so strange that it has the complete opposite effect!

I used their purple toned shampoo a wee while back, and i'm pretty sure it just washed out the toner I already had in my hair rather than toning it.
    John Freda, tut tut!

  3. Oh no! I use a curling creme which is great for keeping my curls in place rather than having frizzy waves but it's the only product I've tried. It definitely shouldn't make your hair look like that! x

  6. Oh that's such a shame! I haven't tried these, but I tried some from the brunette range and I loved them.

  9. My hair had the exact same reaction to the frizz ease range! i've been told the serum is full of silicone which just coats the hair, rather than actually helping it. I swear by the full repair range though! x
