waiting to meet you.

My sister-in-law's baby shower was so much fun! I don't think I've ever been around so many ladies before in my life, but it was very enjoyable. We pretty much just spent the whole afternoon drinking tea and eating cake.

I made the cake above for the occasion - it's a raspberry sponge, with cream icing. And I also made a cuddly cat for my very-nearly-here niece!

Below are the stages of making - my mock-up which created the pattern, and all the adjustments I needed to make scribbled all over it! Taking it apart and using it as a pattern to cut out the lovely soft fleecy material; making the head and using stickers to show where the eyes and nose would go; the body all sewn up, front and back; and finally the finished product! I'm pretty pleased with it, and everyone was impressed that I made it! :)

Don't forget about the awesome Bloggers' Christmas Party that we're planning! Everyone is welcome, and we'd love to see as many of you there as possible! Boohoo will be there too, and goodie bags, and lots of festive things... it's going to be so fun! All the details you need are HERE!

:o I want that cake in my belly right now. It looks so good!
I definitely want to try and make one of those kitties, they look like they would make such good Christmas gifts. And I wouldn't mind a family of them for myself.
I am slowly turning mine and Kyle's bedroom into my dream room. Next: fairy lights MUAHAHA.
