Apologies for the horribly blurry photo above, argh! Anyway, it seems last Wednesday when I went for a rummage in the charity shops, I was drawn to pattern - especially tartans!
I wore the second skirt to the Company Casting Call on Friday, after taking it up a little (I actually was in a bit of a rush and just cut the skirt to length without sewing it, so I ended up having threads hanging off me all over the place - lesson well and truly learnt!)
The reddy colourd skirt is a little too big for me around the waist, but I couldn't resist the gold thingamy on it. It's approximately a size 12 or 14 and will be for sale soon. Unsure whether to take it up, or leave it as an on trend midi length skirt.. we'll see.
I LOVE the shoes! I saw them in a charity shop a few weeks ago and they were £9, then on Wednesday they'd gone down to £4! MINE! They're slightly too big, and always slip off when I wear tights, so I think I'll save them for spring/summer.

I loooove a nice bit of tartan! The shoes are gorgeous (: I like a nice bit of charitable buying.
ReplyDeleteOh wow your charity shop finds are all so nice, and so tartan! I've been wanting a red tartan scarf and pleated skirt for the longest time now, needless to say I am jealous. You could probably use those iron Wundaweb strips to hem the end of the skirt if it's thick material, saves time too! x

I love everything you brought, you find some lovely things, i really like your style.I find some great bargains at my local bootsale whats on all year round, im abit addicted to it at the moment. And there is a woman who does bootsales who knows an older lady who lives in a big old farmhouse and keeps giving her lots of things to sell has shes moving out of the house.Iv had some great vintage things off her vintage clothes, jewellery, house stuff, bags, belts, vintage everything and she never charges much more than a pound for anything.Theres not many people into vintage around here so i get to buy it all, which isnt helping my overflowing room. Gem xx
