mother's day.

I love what I do here on Being Little, but I love it even more when I get to treat my special people. Next got in touch about a little Mother's Day project and I had to get involved, as it meant I got to celebrate my lovely mum. 

I'm sure most people think their mum is the best, but my mum actually is. She's supportive, without being pushy. She's never judgemental. She's silly, she's fun, she doesn't take things too seriously. She's talented, modest, beautiful. She's empathetic. She really does care. I'm so proud to have her as my role model, as well as one of my closest friends.

Life has thrown a lot of difficult things at my mum, but she's never let it harden her or taint her view of the world or the people in it. She always sees the good in people, and knows the importance of forgiveness - something I'm trying to learn from her! 

Mum has always been very generous - we were never spoiled, but she's generous with her time, her love, and would treat us sometimes. Now that I'm a bit older, I love that I'm able to treat her back!

My task with Next was to style an outfit for both Mum & myself. I'm really pleased, as we look pretty colourful! And we will certainly be taken through to Spring & Summer with these ensembles.
