apricot polka dot midi skirt.

I fell in love with this skirt when I received it, but it's like nothing else I own, so at first I found it a bit tricky knowing how to wear it. I love the midi length and the polka dot overlay, but I tried it with a few different tops & accessories and it just didn't work how I thought it was. I slept on it and realised - it definitely had to be paired with one of my vintage headscarves! 

This is one of those outfits that I put on and think, "yeah, this is really me." It's the way that I would dress all the time if I could be bothered, or didn't feel like I would be over dressed - something that I am working on and will eventually get over, hopefully! 

I've also had this song stuck in my head the whole time I've been wearing this/editing photos/writing up this blog post! 

It's a beautiful day today, however I thought I'd take the photos in my bright and airy loft room so that I can show you how it's coming along at the same time. There's been a lot of changes and upheaval over the last few months, but this room is starting to feel like my own again. There are a few things I still need to get rid of and find a home for, but finally it's the colourful, cosy sanctuary that I once loved.
