It's cold. It's winter. It's still cold. And it's miserable.
What you need is a nice big bowl full of something tasty and warming - both to the belly and the heart.
This is my favourite go-to chilli recipe - and the most fun part comes with the accompaniments!
The recipe I use is this sweet potato chili by love and lemons. As with all recipes I follow, it kind of depends what I have in the cupboard and fridge, but as long as you have the basics in there it's always a winner. I always add some sweet red peppers, and anything else that might go.
On the recipe page, some topping options are listed, and it's fun to have a few small bowls filled with these things around so that people can make the chilli their own (if you're sharing!)
My favourites are:
• sour cream/creme fraiche
• grated cheddar
• wedges of lime
• chopped spring onions
• coriander
• corn
• tortilla chips
• fresh chillis/chilli flakes
• avocado/guacamole
I love to pile them on and enjoy all the different flavours!

I'm making veggie chilli in the slow cooker for tomorrow! One of the few veggie meals my boyfriend likes/doesn't notice the difference.
