bundled up in clifton.

Some people may say that I have a coat addiction.. I think the real problem is that I'm always searching for the perfect one, which obviously just doesn't exist - especially as tastes constantly evolve and change.

This is my new favourite though, despite it being a little big for me - that just means I can get more woolly things on underneath, which is necessary right now! It was -3ºC last night and I wore a cardigan in bed.

Enough morbs. I'm actually loving this crisp, sunny weather. I've been waking up excited and long walks have been tempting me out. There are snowdrops and crocus flowers in the park, blossom is starting to appear.. Spring is on its way, and I couldn't be more happy about it.

While it is still nippy though, this coat will be staying firmly on my back. I found it in the Zalando sale after trawling through all the different coats on Love the Sales - it seems they have every brand under the sun on there and all at discounted prices. Perfect if you're looking for something specific but don't know where to find it - like my coat! The soft grey colour means it goes with most things, and I love how it looks with the pale tones of my pink beanie and grey scarf.

Lily and I headed up Clifton way one overcast afternoon last week for coffee, catch ups, late lunch (scroll down for that) and photo taking. I don't mind taking photos with my tripod in my back garden, but it is nicer - and much quicker - to have a friend who understands to take the photos for you. Thank yoooooouuuu Lil!

Meeting up with a buddy has to involve a chat over coffee and food, so we headed to Mockingbird Cafe. The coffee was so tasty, and the food - mmmmmmm - Lily went for the soup of the day (pearl barley and spring greens) while I had sweet potato hash with a baked egg.

The interior was super nice too - minimal and a little rustic. Very Instagram-worthy. And the staff were so friendly and helpful. They only serve breakfast & lunch, but take heed that they don't serve food everyday, so make sure you check before heading their way.

A must if you're up in Clifton looking for good coffee and delicious food!
