2015 has got off to a bit of a slow start, but I think I always feel like this after the holidays - lethargic, reluctant, not really knowing where to start or how to get back into "real life"..
Since I got back to Bristol on the 2nd, apart from working I've been lying in bed shopping the online sales, so I'm sure I'll have some brand new outfits to show you all soon. But first I thought I'd blow the cobwebs out of my brain and show you these lovely photos from a recent trip to Dartmoor.
Despite visiting my family in Devon pretty often, one beautiful place I don't always remember/have time to explore is Dartmoor. I spent my younger years coming here on primary school trips; I built a snowman here with a boyfriend in my early twenties; once some friends and I lay wrapped in blankets up at Haytor, watching shooting stars. Then, of course, there's the hidden quarry.
So many little adventures have taken place in this huge expanse of national park, and there's still so much more that I need to see of it.
These photos were taken the day before New Year's Eve, when mum and I went on a chilly mission to clamber on rocks, touch ponies, take pictures, breathe deeply and think.

ReplyDeleteWow, these photos are beautiful. Love the ponies! I know how you feel about getting back into the swing of things after the holidays. It's always a challenge!
ReplyDeleteStunning pictures! That's such a beautiful area. I always feel the same after the holiday season. A bit lost, a bit sad because Christmas is over, and not really looking forward to the everyday. But then after a few days it's just like it used to be.

What a beautiful place! Looks like the ideal area for a breath of fresh air and a clear mind! I think many people feel sluggish after Christmas (me included) takes a while to get back into routine but it soon passes x
