on falling out of love.

Four months. It's been four months. I fell out of love, I forgot, I put it on the back burner, the pile of things that I'll get around to later/never. Other things were a priority.

The last blog post I wrote which wasn't sponsored or contained samples for review was all the way back in April. I haven't felt the urge to write something truly from the heart over here. It's just been ticking over, making my living, doing only what is necessary, not above or beyond.

That's not to say I haven't shared personal or heartfelt words at all - it's just mostly been over on Instagram. I've felt varying feelings between stressed (working three jobs and trying to organise my time, family worries) and very content, and I just haven't felt like sharing any of that over here for a while. I fell out of love with this little space. Work was my priority; finding time to gym, rest, see the people I love was my priority.

That's also not to say that I'm not proud of the few-and-far-between blog posts. I was scrolling through last night, and I do feel like I did a good job, although I could've done better. I just wish there was more of me in those blog posts.

WHAT I WORE:

mango metallic vest
asos pencil skirt

Finally, I had time to think recently. I had the brain space and the alone time, out of the house and away from the screens to think about what I have, what I haven't been doing, and what I want to change.

Now, motivating myself to actually do these things will be another challenge, but at least i'm feeling inspired and have ideas again!

Thank you for sticking by me through thick & thin, and sorry if you got a little sick of the impersonal blog posts! If there's anything you'd love to see from me, just let me know in the comments or over on Twitter, where I'm always around for a chat!

• disclaimer: I'm still & always have been very much in love with my boyfriend - soz for the clickbait! •

  3. It's understandable how different platforms evoke different emotions. Instagram often feels like a safe space for personal reflections. If you ever need a little pick-me-up to ease stress, consider browsing the passion play gift shop for some unique treasures.
