cushion refresh with wayfair.

You know what it's like when you've lived in a shared house for 4+ years - everything is pretty tatty, the walls need repainting, the carpets need replacing, the furniture is a mish-mash of inherited items and things that you just make do with.. sometimes I look at it all and just despair. 

Luckily though, there are little things you can do to make it a little nicer.

BEFORE:

The cushions (other than the yellow ones) have been here longer than I have. They are beyond saving, so into the bin they go! The blankets needed a wash, so they went into the machine, and a general tidy-up was had.

I chose these print cushions & complementing velvet ones from Wayfair* and I actually love how they look on the fading red sofa. Originally, when I was looking at the brief and different themed mood boards, I didn't think I'd go for the jungle theme - but when I started looking through the cushions, I realised this didn't have to mean greens! 

It just goes to show you can think outside the box, even when you have an idea in mind! 

I found these leaf print cushions with embroidered accents and knew they'd work well in our lounge - the warm, earthy tones and striking patterns are just what we needed in there. The copper, crushed-velvet look of the other two cushions break up the pattern and are so so soft.
