the magic of tea.

"A day without tea is a day without joy."

Is there anything more British than a cuppa? The list of ailments that can be cured by a mug of the good stuff is endless - I've listed some of my favourites below!

I've been getting an extra warm fuzzy feeling inside when I drink my tea lately, as I've been drinking this smugglers brew from Cornish Tea. You all know how much I love the south west of England, and after a little trip down to Cornwall to visit my cousin & her wife, I feel like that love has been renewed.

This British company was set up by two pals in 2012, and has been going from strength to strength. Like a teabag left in the cup. It's always nice to support homegrown companies, especially when the product is so yummy! I can't fault the taste at all, and the packaging is a fun read while your tea is brewing - lots of little facts, stories, quotes... all sorts!

15 REASONS WHY WE DRINK TEA:

• it's a ritual

• to wake us up

• because we feel a little under the weather

• it cures hangovers

• to celebrate

• to commiserate

• because we're cold

to help us open up

• because someone offered us one and we can't say "no"

• because we're bored

• it's an excuse to have a break from work

• because we've had a shock

• it goes very well with cake and biscuits

• to wind down after a hard day

• it's a reason to be sociable

Are you a tea drinker? What are your favourite reasons to drink tea?

  7. I got so excited when I saw the title of this post because Tea is my Jam. I'm obsessed. And I was also thinking about writing a tea post, about my favorite teas. When I went to England 2 summers ago to visit my cousin, her (now) husband, had a whole pantry full of tea and I was in heaven....His answer for it was "I'm a Brit, what do you expect?" HAHA

  19. Definitely have to agree with every single point...as I was drinking a cuppa, of course. Although for the last couple of months I've hopped over to decaf as the caffeine was just affecting me too much!
