a little bit of love - self care box.

I am no stranger to mental health issues, and I think it's important to talk about it whenever appropriate - you've probably seen me mention it on here multiple times! One thing many of us do to ease depression and anxiety is practise self care. I have a whole blog post on that coming soon, but today I'm going to focus on the self care subscription box.

There are a few similar subscriptions boxes out there aimed at self care, but I was sent this new albobox to see what the deal was.

In the sweet little box tied up with string I found some lovely gifts. Lovely peppermint tea (one of my favourites! So good to ease tummy cramps which I often get when I'm anxious.), little chocolates, things to occupy your mind and things to pamper yourself with.

It's nice to not have to think about what to do to make yourself feel better - just pick a little something out of the box and take some tiny steps to healing yourself. It's a very nice and very simple way to perk up your day, but I personally feel like I probably wouldn't use this service as I generally know what I need to make myself feel better on a bad day.

A Little Bit Of was created with helping people in mind. You can read more about it here, sign up for the subscription or send a box as a gift here!

If you're struggling with the state of your brain, please talk to a friend, GP or mental health professional. You are never ever alone, no matter how much you may feel it, and there is always someone who is willing to listen to you.

  1. That box looks really cute! Self care is incredibly important to decompress and re-center one self.

I think it's really brave/refreshing for you to open up a dialogue about mental health issues (I'm about to go through your 'real talk' labeled posts) because it isn't talked about nearly enough, IMHO.

  7. I really like that subscription boxes are being created for all different reasons, but I think this is one of the best I've come across. I love receiving mail, so having this scheduled to arrive in the post would be like getting post from a friend and something to look forward to!

  8. I quite like the idea of this, maybe as a gift for someone if they are going through a hard time. I don't think I would personally want it because like you, I know what works for me. I have thought about making my own anti anxiety box before, would love to read a post detailing what you would put in yours! :) xx
