john frieda 3 day straight.

Hands up if you're a sufferer of frizzy hair? Yeah, me too. Sucks, doesn't it? Some people have the luxury of air-drying their hair and it ends up sleek; some people are lucky enough to wake up with perfect hair. Not me. BUT, could that change with a few of John Frieda's Frizz Ease products?

I was sent the Smooth Start shampoo & conditioner, as well as Frizz Ease 3 Day Straight to try out. I didn't have high hopes, as I've tried some of these products in the past and not been very impressed, but I've learnt that a lot of it has to do with how you style your hair...

• After washing your hair with the Smooth Start range, and towel drying slightly, spritz through some of the 3 Day Straight and comb through to distribute evenly •

• Blow dry your hair as straight as you can - dividing into sections makes this quicker, easier, and gives better results •

This is about as straight as my hair gets with a home blow dry! My hair is naturally very wavy and fuzzy, so it's difficult to get a sleek look with just a blow dry. As you can see, it's still quite frizzy here.

• Section your hair again, and slowly and gently glide your hair straighteners through 2 inch sections •

And this is how smooth my hair was afterwards! Super straight, super soft, and not at all frizzy.

In the name of science and all things good, I thought I better take a photo of my hair on the third day too! Of course, I needed a bit of dry shampoo, but apart from that this (below) is with no touch ups at all.

You can see that there is some slight movement in my hair - all in the same direction, weirdly - but nowhere near as much as I would normally have after 2 nights of sleeping on it.

This is most definitely a product that I'm going to continue to use!

  3. Ooh I tried this years ago when it was first released but didn't see much of an improvement... my hair seems to have changed in texture though so might be worth giving it another go! It seems to have worked well on your hair :)

  8. I have the john frieda frizz ease heat protector - I am in love but it makes your hair go greasy a lot quicker so I try not to use it as often.
But I am using the Syoss pro-keratin (? - not too sure about the name) which actually helps a great deal, maybe want to check that out as well if you want to use less products.
