2014 highlights.

When the craziness of Christmas is over, I love to sit by myself and think about all the things that have happened over the past year. I write down all the significant things, consider how I've changed and plan how I'll try to do things differently over the coming year. It's also a time to think about whether I achieved my goals - more on that at the bottom of this post.

It's become a tradition to share my highlights here on my little corner of the internet (you can have a look at my 2012 and 2013 highlights if you want!) so here are mine from 2014..

As ever, this year was a mixed bag. There was a lot of heartbreak, but so many great things happened alongside it. I've made some incredible new friends, seen so many new places, and done things I thought I wouldn't be able to do for years - and I'm so proud of myself for it.

Deciding to break my goals down into "mini goals" was definitely a helpful thing for me. I managed to complete one of my big goals of getting back into work, and I think my health has got slightly better, although I haven't put so much effort into that one..

Plus, look how much my hair has grown!!

How was 2014 for you?

  3. I've only just started reading your blog so, hello *waves*. I'm amazed that you've managed to overcome mental things so well. I'm currently a half recluse due to a bit of a wringer of a year and a move to Bristol at a time when I've been mentally ill prepared to go out and meet people. Your round up has given me hope that anything is possible 😊 A very Happy and beautiful new year to you x
