victory roll 50s headwear.

This post has been a long time coming, but finally I can share these awesome double-sided headscarves from Victory Roll!

The lovely lady behind them is Vicky, who describes herself as a country bumpkin. She grew up in my beloved county, Devon, and her nan taught her to sew when she was about 10 years old. Vicky has always been into creative things, and was a professional singer for 5 years, but always came back to sewing as a therapeutic activity.

She got fed up of folding vintage headscarves to get the look she wanted, so she made her own. People started asking where she got them, and so Victory Roll was born! She uses upcycled, vintage and new fabrics bought from local town, Totnes. Someone has even sent her a pillowcase to be made into a headscarf!

Vicky's creations range from £7-12 (plus p&p) and at the moment the website is under contruction, but you can see all the pretty fabrics and make an order through the Victory Roll facebook page.

The fabrics that I chose are so perfect for summer, and having 4 different fabrics mean they'll go with everything! It's like having two headscarves in one!

  14. These are adorable in every way. I have been looking for a nice scarf (not too long, not too short, nice pattern, nice fabric, easy to handle - as difficult as it sounds!) and these seem just it. I'll check it out for sure. Thanks for sharing. x
