spicy beef noodles.

I posted a photo on instagram of this yummy dinner that Doug and I whipped up the other night, and a few people asked for the recipe, so here we go...

Ingredients:
• rump steak (about 250g)
• salt and pepper
• olive oil
• sesame seeds
• egg noodles
• 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
• a red chilli, sliced
• thumb-sized piece of ginger, finely chopped
• 5 spring onions, in chunks
• mushrooms, sliced
• broccoli, chopped into little tiny trees
• a couple of handfuls of beansprouts
• a bag of spinach
• soy sauce
• the juice of half a lime

Method:
• Coat both sides of the rump steak in a little olive oil, salt and pepper and heat up a non-stick frying pan.
• Put a couple of handfuls of sesame seeds on a dry baking tray and put in a gently heated oven for about 5 minutes to toast them. Turn the oven off.
• Cook the steak to your liking, and put in the cooling oven to keep warm.
• Add the noodles to a saucepan of boiling salted water and cook for around 3 minutes (or however long it says on the packet) drain and keep warm.
• Put the garlic, chilli, ginger and spring onions in the same frying pan that you cooked the steak in. Cook on a medium heat for a couple of minutes.
• Add the mushrooms and broccoli, cook for 5 minutes, then add the beansprouts and spinach.
• Pour on a little soy sauce and lime juice to taste.
• Slice the steak, then plate up - noodles first, then vegetables, then beef. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and enjoy!

Let me know if you use this recipe! Hope you enjoy it!
