all hallow's eve.

Today wasn't a particularly scary day - I went up to London and hung out with Ella, and went to a Next press day. I'll share more about that with you another day, and show you what I wore (and maybe even some ridiculous out-takes..)

I just wanted to quickly show you my BEAUTIFUL pumpkins, in case you hadn't seen them on instagram (@littlelyzi) I didn't carve any pumpkins this year, but decided to buy some which were already fun to look at.

I'm hoping to cook something delicious with these after I'm done staring at them... have you got any good pumpkin recipes? :)

back to black.

• MY COLLAR OBSESSION CONTINUES WITH THIS STUDDED NUMBER •

As it's Halloween tomorrow, what is more appropriate for an outfit than black, studs, leather, vampy lipstick and a cheeky shot of my moon tattoo?

I do love wearing colour, but sometimes all I want to do is revert back to my 15-year-old self, when the only clothes I had in my wardrobe were black and red.

I've been wearing this skirt quite a lot lately, I just love the fit and the leather-look waistband gives an otherwise pretty boring skirt a bit of an edge. I snagged it in a Topshop sale a few months back, but have only just started wearing it.

The shirt was kindly sent to me by Glamorous, and I LOVE it. As I keep mentioning, fun collars are my favourite thing at the moment, so this is right up there in my most-worn items of clothing at the moment.

One thing I really like about it, is that it's NOT a sheer blouse. I have a couple of sheer blouses and I do like them, but I can feel very exposed in them. And, it's a size 10 that doesn't gape around the boobs! I often have to go up a size with button-down shirts, but not this one.

Are you coming over to the dark side this Halloween?

bristol zombie walk 2012.

• WHEN THERE'S NO MORE ROOM IN HELL, THE DEAD WILL WALK THE EARTH •

Soooo Saturday was pretty much the most fun day EVER!

We were glad to see there was not a cloud in the sky, as Charli and I wandered into town, stopping for teas, coffees and an amazing breakfast from Start The Bus on the way. We then went up to Josh's to get ready, as his flat is close to the start of the zombie walk

It took us a couple of weeks to actually decide on what kind of zombies we were going to be, and we settled on children who had been at their birthday parties when the zombies attacked. So I had a pink party dress and princess tiara, and Charli had a my little pony tshirt and pigtails!

We made a RIGHT MESS and we ended up being a little late, but it didn't take us long to find the massive crowd of moaning undead. It was such fun shuffling along and pretending to be someone else. Everyone loved it too, there were so many people taking photos.

When we got to the end point, there was a chance to wander around and look at everyone's amazing costumes. The people who really put a lot of effort in, or were very un-pc/currently in the media (I'm looking at you, dead baby Ella and Jimmy Saviles & Gary Glitter) were my favourite, because they got the biggest reaction.

We got a few drinks and just sat in the park in the sunshine for a while, as a few bands and DJs played. There was such a brilliant atmosphere, everyone was so happy to be dead.

We found another zombie who was having a birthday/brainday, and she very kindly gave us party hats, party poppers, a balloon and a banner! Spreading the love/disease.

When it got cold we decided to head to The Mother's Ruin, where we met KISS and I got roped into improving their make up (I didn't mind so much... nice boys they were. PS check out my sparkly tights from Primark! Actually going to buy some more without holes and blood, as they're so fun!)

Then we popped to The Crown where it was hard to tell if some people were dressed up or just goths, and then Charli, Chuckie and his/her bride all went onto The Lanes where Charli's friend was DJing so we got guestlist. It was SO FUN! They played loads of music from when we were about 17 and we danced for ages.

I actually cannot wait for next year, I'm DEFINITELY doing it again. Next time I'm wearing a costume that is warmer though, as we got bloody freezing by the end of it!

Thank you to Charli also, as she took most of these photos!

Have you ever been on a zombie walk? Are you doing anything fun for Halloween?

on mute.

I actually wore this yesterday. An obsession with collars is well and truly happening. I went to Asda on Thursday to try and find some Halloween supplies, and wandered into the kids' clothing section, where I found TWO amazing dresses, both with cute collars, both a pretty much perfect fit.

This leopard print peterpan collared dress was only £7. Yes you read that right. SEVEN ENGLISH POUNDS! I wasn't sure about it at first, because the colours are so muted. I thought it washed me out a little.

However, teamed with some bold lipstick I think it looks just lovely. I think it would also look lovely with a neck tie, or collar pins!

I'll show you the other (even more amazing) dress another day!

I'm off to go and be a zombie RAAAGHHHGHHGLGLLL.

a peplum problem.

AX PARIS PEPLUM TOP • RIMMEL 124 BORDEAUX LIPSTICK •

Okay, so this beautiful top from AX Paris is one of my favourite things right now. The warm, deep blackcurrant colour sets my pulse racing, and the gold collar detail is amazing, and something I haven't seen on any other peplum tops.

The only problem is, I don't know what to wear it with! I tried it with some thick leggings, but they didn't look sleek enough. I also tried it with a black pencil skirt, but I think that was also a bit too bulky!

So, I need your suggestions, so that I can actually get some wear out of this top! How would YOU style it?

Also, don't forget that the Breast Cancer Awareness raffle is on today! I've bought my tickets :)

feelin' feline.

So today I woke up to very grey skies and was generally having an "I really can't be bothered" day. I didn't want to get up, I didn't want to go anywhere, and I didn't know what to wear. However, my outfit turned out to be ridiculously appropriate..

When I don't know what to wear, I browse blogs for a bit, and wait for inspiration to hit. This morning, I was looking at the gorgeous Gem's blog, and noticed she was wearing a cat t-shirt from eBay.. I HAVE A CAT T-SHIRT FROM EBAY, I thought, so I put it on.

A nice comfy outfit for browsing the charity shops, and Asda, for some Halloween goodies. Also, a good moment to share with you the amazing cat teapot that my mum got for me as a leaving present!

"You like cats too much!" I hear you cry. It gets better..

Smiling to myself about the teapot and looking around to see if any of the neighbours were watching my strange behaviour, I noticed this handsome chap staring at me. If he hadn't have been so gorgeous, I would've been a little creeped out. BUT LOOK AT HIM.

I am actually in love. That tail! Those eyes! His curly hairs on his lovely tum!

You wouldn't believe the amount of photos I took, but these are the best...

He was so affectionate, but he suddenly decided he wanted to wander off along the top of my neighbours' fences. Just like that, he was gone. He broke my heart.

I'm thinking of ways to win him back - cat treats and string are top of my list.

Once he left, I had a few minutes to capture the details of my outfit...

The fun sockies are from Primark as part of a fun animal print set! They make my eyes happy :)

the bloggers' breast cancer awareness raffle!

leather, lace & polkadots.

• CHARITY SHOP BAG & TOP • H&M SHORTS (OLD) • CLARKS ORIGINALS DESERT BOOTS •

If you follow me on Twitter or instagram (@littlelyzi) you'll know that I raided my local shops yesterday. In my bag, amongst the yummy local & organic food I treated myself to, nestled this pretty top and bag that I found in a couple of charity shops.

The bag was my first find, I grabbed it straight away just in case somebody else noticed what a perfect gem it was. I have been on a hunt for a lovely simple little bag that perfectly fits my iPad in... and I finally found it! It fits in so snugly, and it has two other pockets, so I can fit in my money/keys/make up etc. too!

The top and shorts speak for themselves... cute! I feel very much myself in this outfit. Shame my hair just isn't cooperating today!

I'm off into town to buy supplies for the Bristol Zombie Walk on Saturday! Are any of you lovely lot going?
