stronger than me.

Such a cheap outfit this one. The shirt is from a charity shop, it's actually way too big for me and makes me look bigger than I am, but I really like the detail. The brooch is a Christmas present from my Mum that only turned up a few days ago. It's from Frassy. I made the skirt myself, the fabric is awesome - paisley and ducks.

Just a short post, I've gotta run. My mum is sick and I'm not sure what's happening tonight..

  8. You always look scrumptious! I think that's the word perfectly suited for you anyway.. I've been looking for a perfect (SOFT) burgundy cardigan for ages, still on the hunt! Nearly bought a size XS mens Tesco one last week in the sale for £4 but it was all kinds of itchy :( x

I really want a skirt that shape but my sewing skills are slim to none. Had a look in loads of shops today and A-line mini skirts are nowhere to be found! Charity shops are my next port of call.
Hope your mum's okay chick :( xxx

  20. What type of fabric did you use to make your skirt? Does it need loads of ironing or is it one of the types that you dont need to iron much? Is it cotton, polyester? I'm planning on making my own skirt and the idea in my head is just like what you have shown in these images. this is exactly what i want to make. I hope it wont be to much trouble asking you :)

  23. I love this outfit you look sooo nice, i love the brooch its so cute, i have some vintage ones a similiar style to this i really like where you have put it it sets the outfit off.I love the skirt the style and material and everything i want a skirt like this.I have a book called 'Yeah i made it myself' by Eithne Farry i dont know if you have heard of it but its great its like a easy guide to making your own clothes bags etc its a fun book, Eithne Farry is a former backing singer and tambourinist with indie band Talulah Gosh, and she makes alot of her own clothes and customises clothes, shes interesting. Anyway i tried to make some things using the book but i didnt make a very good job,but this book got me interested in making something unique and what know one else has.I guess practise makes perfect.id love to make a skirt like yours :)the book says 'if you think dress making is stress making then this is the book for you'. you always look so nice. Hope your mum is ok. Gem xx
