home sweet home.

Just some inspiration for decorating our new flat. Unfortunately most of these images are either from tumblr (without a source) or have been saved on my laptop for ages and I've forgotten where I found them :( feel bad for not crediting!

We are decorating on a shoe string, finding stuff in charity shops and recycling centres. But I prefer it that way anyway, that way things have a story. We decided we don't like things matchy-matchy. It's already starting to look pretty colourful and cute!

I'm excited to get all my furniture into my room (hopefully next weekend) and, if my Dad has the skills, I'm going to get him to build me a desk, and maybe even a clever wardrobe type thing. I've measured and drawn out my room so I can plan where I want everything! Geek!

I'm mostly attracted to colour and pattern, as you can see. I love plain walls, busy bits and clever storage. I like everything on display! I don't know, anyway.. here goes.

(I know that the last photo is from Stefany, but apart from that I don't know :( if you know the source of any of these don't hesitate to tell me!)

I love the ideas with bunting and lace, if you're resourceful you'll have no problem making something fantastic without spending a fortune!

I love how everything is so colourful! I myself never dare to decorate in such sharp colours so my room is like all white..but I like that to:) The first photo of the house is amazing! And what wouldn't I give for a bread box(?) like that?!

the first house is divine, i love the colouring. but it seems to me you really love bunting! might i suggest searching the term bunting on cut out & keep? they have some lovely little things, and they're on the cheap too because it's all DIY! <3

I absolutely love the thought of decorating my own place, every time I go into a shop and see a nice piece of furniture I think 'one day'! I'm so jealous of you having your own place to do up, and I hope you'll show us pics as you do it :)
